The works of the Guatemalan photographer residing in Buenos Aires, Luis González Palma, show a collection of scenes that relate to the psychology of human emotion. Through the title of each photograph, he fosters a dialogue with the viewer, calling upon his memories and emotions.

In his work, Luis González Palma has always begun with a reflection on the gaze, using as a basis the fact that every gaze is in essence political because it is conditioned by society, culture and tradition. On this occasion he presents scenes of interiors in which human beings occasionally appear. They are images full of mystery and tension that depict a frozen, latent drama that cannot be seen but can be felt, smelled in the air. The human beings in the photos present themselves as characters outside of all time and place, characters that appear fragile, who refer us to the fleeting nature of human existence, while at the same time transmitting great emotional strength reinforced by their attitudes and gazes.

The photographs assembled in this exposition constitute shreds of memories that make the viewer nostalgic for emotions and experiences lived before. Through March 29, 2013.
