OPEN CALL TO ARTISTS
ARTDISTRICTS magazine announces an open call to artists. The winner will be the “FEATURED ARTIST” in our August/September 2012 issue. The featured artist will receive a 4 page article which will be published in both the printed and digital edition of ARTDISTRICTS. The winner will be chosen based on the quality and originality of his/her proposal.
ARTDISTRICTS offers artists a direct and effective way of introducing their work to a wide audience of art professionals in galleries and museums, as well as art collectors and dealers who constantly seek for new talents.
The competition is open to all artists 18 or older, both emerging and established, working in all media including painting, drawing, sculpture, installation, performance, photography, video, new media, among others.
The staff of ARTDISTRICTS magazine and their immediate family members are not eligible to participate or win. Void where prohibited by law. ARTDISTRICTS magazine reserves the right to verify all eligibility requirements. Contest is subject to all applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations.
If you are interested in participating in the open call you should be ready to submit the following:
- Portfolio (biography, education, list of exhibitions, awards)
- Up to 6 digital images of artwork. Images should be presented in JPG format with image size not to exceed 1MB.
- Entry Fee of $35.00 (via PAYPAL)
All materials must be sent by email. ARTDISTRICTS is not responsible for materials such as books, catalogues, documents or original artworks mailed to us or for their return. If you are submitting video art, you must send a link to your video or contact us to mail a DVD.

If you are not able to submit all your materials when you submit your entry, you may send them to us separately. Include your full name in all correspondence. You will automatically receive a receipt for your payment. Once your entry and files are received, you will receive a confirmation notice.

We support the local and regional scenes with up-to-date articles, reviews, news and calendars covering the most significant events and exhibitions. Every two months, a new issue of ARTDISTRICTS is available at galleries, museums, art centers, art fairs, and artist studios throughout Florida; it is also distributed in up-scale hotels and condominiums.
